Rūta is a marketing consultant by day and an artist by night (although the two sometimes switch places). She began painting watercolour illustrations in late 2014 after purchasing some watercolours on a whim. What started as a fun pastime of painting birthday cards for friends and family quickly developed into an intense passion for putting her imagination on paper. Rūta’s illustrations depict whimsical woodland creatures and scenes that portray stories of magic, wonderment, and childhood nostalgia. Sometimes she dabbles with acrylic painting (on canvas and random objects).

When Rūta isn’t painting or consulting on all things social media, she loves experimenting with photography, spending hours in nature, reading, and daydreaming.
