I love the word pop because it makes me feel all bubbly and giggly inside, perhaps because it’s an onomatopoeic word. But I especially love the word pop when it coincides with my wardrobe. I wasn’t thinking too much about my outfit when I threw this together, but I think the pops of colour pay homage to my desire for winter to be over. I’m not-so-patiently awaiting spring.
The focus of this outfit was the hot pink top. A family friend gave me a bunch of her old clothes, and the clothes horse in me was basically over the moon since almost everything was 100% silk. This hot pink top instantly caught my attention because of the dainty detailing down the front of the blouse, as well as the row of buttons down the back (which you unfortunately cannot see due to the fact that it was much too cold to remove my cardigan). I’m not usually drawn to hot pink clothes, as I’d much rather go for a bright red, but this blouse is a winner in my wardrobe. I can’t wait for the warmer months when taking outfit photos will no longer be a winter sport.
