Afternoon tea at the Old Mill Inn in Toronto is a Father’s Day tradition, and something my family looks forward to all year. It’s so nice to dress up and feel posh, while sipping on delicious tea and eating scrumptious mini sandwiches and desserts.
The menu comes set, with tea in included, of course, but you can add champagne if you’d like. The menu changes a little bit each year, not too much, but enough to keep things exciting. The teas are all absolutely delicious. I had the Masala Chai two years in a row, so this time round I went for Peppermint which didn’t disappoint. My parents love the Jasmine with Flowers Green Tea.
Last year the Old Mill Inn celebrated it’s centennial, so we got a box of tea as a gift, and this year, they seem to be extending the celebrations.
These jams are incredible, especially the raspberry. Plus, they’re all made in Niagara-on-the-Lake, so they’re truly Canadian.
The servers constantly refresh your personal teapot with extra hot water, so you can have as many cups of tea as you’d like!
My gorgeous parents!
Afternoon tea starts at the bottom, so by the time we reached the top, we were plenty full of deliciousness, and opted to bring some things home. There’s definitely more than enough food to keep your tastebuds happy.
I’m still dreaming about those scones.
I’ll have an OOTD post up tomorrow about my outfit details! Get ready! It’s a gorgeous dress!!
